We ended up having quite a big group of gals go up to Youth Conference at
Unocoi State Park, in Helen, GA. It was cold..and it was busy...but the food was great!!!
We headed up late on Friday night, spent several hours building our tent, with the generous help of Bro.
Larkins and a few other young men who strolled into camp. It hit below freezing and many of the girls bundled for warmth, some found the heated bathrooms more comfortable.
We packed out early in the morning...it was much easier to hike out in the light than to hike in in the dark! The guys all aided a little!
Then
everyone gathered together and split into groups to do various services throughout the park. Some mulched, and some cleaned the camp site areas. The sun came up and began to warm up
every one's hearts and souls and bodies. After Sis. Jones treated us to a yummy lunch, we headed back down the hill to our warm beds. Sis.
Pendleton had put a lot of work into everything and made it a good experience for all. Our ward once again kept a positive attitude, regardless of those around them, and were a great example for all.
